BioPastor Rafael Maldonado Motta, born in 1986, is the first Venezuelan to win a Grand Prix, when he took the win from Pole Position at the 2012 Spanish Grand Prix. Despite winning the GP2 series in 2010 and other championships in various other series in lower tiers, Maldonado is often slammed by the critics for his inconstant drives, and is stated as someone with tremendous speed yet prone to crashes. Maldonado has speed over his experienced teammates in tenure at Formula 1. His relationship with Williams deteriorated over the course of 2013 season, and with the money from PDVSA, he switched to Lotus. TeamNationalityHelmetStandings
