Adrian Sutil is pretty confident about scoring points at his team's home race. In today's qualifying, the German driver couldn't make it into Q3 and was only 13th fastest. But the 30 year old was sure that he has the long run pace in his VJM06 to finish in the top 10.
"Yes I think so. With a good strategy we are on the target for points." Sutil told Rach F1 post qualifying.
He said that he was satisfied with his grid slot but believed there was a chance to qualify a place or two higher on the grid.
"Maybe one or two places but that’s marginal I think as a team we have qualified where our pace was probably we could have been 11 or 12. Now we are 12 and 13th. Not bad"
" I had a decent qualifying, went a little bit aggressive with my aero balance for last two laps and was too understeery and that’s why I think few more tenths were in there. But yeah not a bad day and I think what we did over the weekend to concentrate on the long run pace was the right thing too." Sutil added.
The Force India driver believed that his pace was similar to both Sauber and McLaren.
"That was very similar to Sauber which is of course our main competitor at the moment but also McLaren."
