Just a day before the first official test in Jerez, Red Bull and Sauber unveiled their 2012 cars, the RB8 and C31 respectively.
The Austrian based squad released its 2012 car online while the Swiss team released their car at Jerez Circuit. Both teams have used stepped nose in their cars.
“I think Formula One is set for an exciting year and at Red Bull Racing our goals and objectives are to try and stay ahead of our rivals and build on the success that we have (had) and build on the lessons that we’ve learned in 2011,” said team principal Christian Horner.
“We’re aiming to start the new season as strongly as we did in 2011, but then also to maintain this level of performance throughout the year,” explained team principal Peter Sauber, whose team were seventh in the 2011 standings.
Toro Rosso would also launch its 2012 car today.
