We have heard a lot of F1 teams chasing Aston Martin to make a deal. Last news were that Force India were trying to make the British brand come to the big circus but, finally, Red Bull got them.
Firstly, the wing logo brand will sponsor the energy drink brand single seaters from Australian GP on. Surely, both Daniels will drive Aston Martin as their cars. But the real project, called “AM-RB 001”, is set so Adrian Newey, RBR chief engineer, and Marek Reichman, creative director of AM, collaborate together to produce a hypercar.
Newey is very excited about the new deal: “From the age of six I have had two goals in life; to be involved in the design of racing cars, which I’ve reached, and to be involved in the design of a super car,” he said. “Whilst the former ambition went on to form my career to date, the latter has always bubbled away, resulting in countless sketches and doodles over the years. The opportunity to now develop and realize those ideas whilst working with Marek and his colleagues from Aston Martin is tremendously exciting. It allows us to translate the technology we have developed in F1 into a new arena.”
On his side, Reichman commented: "We are in the process of developing a hypercar, which combines the latest in aerodynamics of F1 and stunning design language UN sports car Aston Martin. The opportunity to collaborate with Adrian and Red Bull Advanced Technologies it will be a fascinating experience for everyone involved. No restrictions F1TM regulations, have a unique opportunity to create UN car in its way more efficient than will represent the ultimate fusion of art and technology”.
The 'AM -RB 001' project promises to be exciting for customers and enthusiasts of motorsport and supercars worldwide.
