Kimi Raikkonen will stay with Ferrari in 2017 after signing a new one-year contract with the Maranello-based squad.
Raikkonen’s future at Ferrari has been in question for the last few months, with many critical of his performance in comparison to teammate Sebastian Vettel.
Team principal Maurizio Arrivabene also made it clear that Raikkonen will have to earn his contract extension, demanding an upturn in his results.
However, in the run up to the British Grand Prix, Ferrari has confirmed that Raikkonen will stay with the team for a fourth successive year.
Vettel, who has a long term contract with the Italian team, will be racing alongside Raikkonen.
