Mark Webber won the Monaco Grand Prix and became the 6th winner from the 6 races so far this season. He's our driver of the day.
Coming into the weekend, Webber said that he didn't expect Red Bull to be fighting for pole position. However, in the qualifying session, he posted the second fastest time and got promoted to pole position after Michael Schumacher's five place grid penalty.
Webber has been famous for his poor starts, but this time made a clear start to lead Rosberg and rest of the field. The gap stood as high as 2.5 seconds over Rosberg before the first and only round of pit stops.
At the end of the race, he lead a five driver 'train' - the gap between them was a mere 4 seconds. There were likely chances of rain, but that never happened(during the race, atleast) and so no driver could benefit from it.
Mark Webber, thus went on to win the Monaco Grand Prix, his first victory since Brazil 2011 and second at the Principality as he now stands 3rd in the championship with 73 points, equalling second place man and team-mate Sebastian Vettel.
