McLaren's Lewis Hamilton has been summoned by Munich court for being a witness to Sutil's incident with Renault's executive Eric Lux.
Both Lux and Sutil were guests at the nightclub in Shanghai last April to celebrate Lewis Hamilton's Chinese GP victory. The German has been charged for causing physical harm to the Renault executive.
“Lewis Hamilton will be called as a witness on the first day,” a Munich court spokeswoman confirmed. ''The appearance is mandatory,”
However Sutil's manager Manfred Zimmermann is convinced that he's not guitly.
"We have a video where it can be seen clearly that this was not Adrian attacking or intentionally hurting someone. We expect an acquittal, or at worst a conviction for negligent injury. But that would not jeopardise his career," insisted Zimmermann.
The trial will take place on 30th and 31st January, which is likely to cause problems for Lewis Hamilton as McLaren would be launching their 2012 car on 1st February.
